Director of RAL: Prof. Wang Zhaodong

Wang Zhaodong was born in Huainan City, Anhui Province in December 1968. He obtained a PhD in engineering in 1999 and currently serves as a professor and doctoral supervisor in Northeastern University. Over the years, he has been engaged in the basic theory and key equipment technologies of advanced steel rolling-heat treatment, and has made numerous scientific and industrialized achievements in the new technology of reduced rolling, on-line/off-line heat treatment process technology, material forming-heat treatment organization control, and so on. He presided over or completed more than 30 NSFC key projects, 973/863, scientific and technological support plans, and major enterprise R&D projects, won two second prizes in National Science and Technology Progress Award, 7 first prizes and 3 second prizes at provincial and ministerial level; He has published over 90 papers in SCI/EI journals, won the award for outstanding academic paper from China Association for Science and Technology, and was authorized for 18 patents of inventions, and 7 software copyrights. In 2014, his research team was awarded "Advanced Rolling Technology and Heat Treatment Innovation Team” in key fields by Ministry of Science and Technology.
