October 22nd, at the invitation of New Steel Research Institute of WISCO and Wuhan University of Science and Technology，Professor Wang Guodong visited WUST and delivered an academic report for teachers and students there. Participants of the seminar included Chen Kuisheng, Vice President of WUST, Liu Jing, Deputy Dean of the Graduate School, Cheng Ming, the chief advisor of New Steel Research Institute, Mao Xinping, Dean of the institute and relevant directors from this institute. The seminar was hosted by Chen Kuisheng, Vice President of WUST. Besides, relevant teachers and students of WUST and hundreds of staffs from New Steel Research Institute and Silicon Steel Center came to listen to the report.
Taking "Ecological Rolling Technology of the Post-Industrial Era" as the theme, Academician Wang illustrated the development of ecological rolling technology from the following 5 aspects: the strategic task of ecological development, establishing the ecological system of steel rolling production technology, innovation and transformation as the main melody of post-industrial era, the development countermeasures of rolling technology, and the ecological steel rolling technology.
Before the meeting, Vice President Chen Kuisheng and Academician Wang had a friendly exchange on the development of WUST and NEU and the development of steel industry.
