On January 27th, Dongfeng(Wuhan) Industrial Co., Ltd. officially opened the“Academician Expert Workstation”, with the approval from Hubei Provincial Association for Science and Technology and Wuhan Municipal Science and Technology Association. The Academician Expert Workstation will focus on researching and developing core technology of welding and hot stamping forming, as well as the cutting-edge technology of hot stamping forming process of new higher strength and higher toughness hot stamping forming steel.

Dongfeng (Wuhan) Industrial Co., Ltd has the largest welding workshop and the leading hot stamping technology in China. Northeastern University has advantages in the theoretical foundation and cutting-edge technology of hot stamping and welding technology. Each side has its own advantages. Through close cooperation, the two sides could create a demonstration project for collaborative innovation of production, study and research, jointly promote the upgrading of domestic hot stamping technology, and contribute to ensure the leading position of our hot stamping technology in the world.
It is reported that this is the first academician expert workstation for Dongfeng, and also the only one for car making enterprises. The Academician Expert Workstation will play an important role in enhancing the core competitiveness in independent development of Dongfeng (Wuhan) Industrial Co., Ltd.
