On March 11th, Xu Haitao, member of Standing Committee and head of Propaganda Department of Suyu District Government, Suqian City, led a delegate of business representative to visit RAL. Academician Wang Guodong and Director Wang Zhaodong held talks with the visiting guests. The two sides conducted extensive exchanges on transformation of scientific and technological achievements, key project cooperation, introduction of talents, and cultivation of high level talents. Leaders from Sci-tech Department of NEU and NEU Science & Technology Industry Co., Ltd attended the exchange meeting.
During the meeting, Xu Haitao, member of Standing Committee and head of the Propaganda Department of Suyu District Government, first introduced the industrial development level of Suyu District, and local enterprises’ status and needs, and expressed the wish to seek the cooperation with higher education institutes, promote the development of local enterprises, and provide an effective support for transformation of scientific and technological achievements through this visit.
Zhang Yaowei, Deputy Director of Sci-tech Department of NEU introduced general information of Northeastern University and structure of its science and technology industries. Director Wang Zhaodong introduced the achievements and latest development of RAL in rolling technology, process innovation, and equipment R&D. According to Director Wang, the integration of scientific and technological research in higher education institutions and the market not only promotes the transformation of scientific and technological achievements of higher education institutions, also provides technical services for the development of the society; he also expressed the wish that RAL could cooperate with Suyu District Government and relevant enterprises and build a platform to create more benefits for enterprises.
Subsequently, our research staff and enterprise representatives held an in-depth discussion on potential field of cooperation. Mr. Xu highly praised the achievements of RAL in product development and technology innovation and signed a strategic cooperation agreement with RAL on behalf of Suyu District Government. According to the agreement, RAL will make full use of our scientific research and technological strength in metallurgy, which is in a leading position in China, to carry out exchanges and cooperation with Suyu District Government and enterprises in the research of development strategy, development of emerging and competitive industries, transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and strive to establish an innovative transformation model for achievements in production, study and research, and a new personnel exchange and training mechanism in Suyu District, so as to realize the goal of "agglomeration, innovation and transformation in enterprise development".
