On January 5th, 2017, HBIS-NEU Industrial Technology Institute held a meeting to promote projects in Conference Room 411 of the state key laboratory RAL. Director Wang Guodong, Deputy Director Qi Jianjun, Deputy Director Wang Zhaodong, and heads of various research projects attended the meeting.
In his speech, Qi Jianjun remarked that the relevant leaders of HBIS Group attached great importance to the development of the institute, and hadrepeatedly mentioned the institute at the annual production and operation meetings and other important meetings. They hoped to develop the institute into a most competitive and influential R & D platform of iron and steel technology across the globe.
The heads of various projects reported in detail on the current progress and working plan for the next phase of the project. They said they would enhance communication with technical staffs in HBIS, complete the projects in accordance with the schedule, and work hard to tackle the problems on the production lines.
Director Wang Guodong remarked that HBIS had actively implemented the concept of “green development, scientific development, innovative development” as the second largest iron and steel enterprise in China with an annual output of nearly 48 million tons. Currently HBIS is at the crucial stage of transformation and development, so the institute should provide technological support by means of research projects, and figure out overall solutions for the iron and steel industry chains.
