On January 21~22, 2017, a delegation of five people led by Liu Zuodong, Director of Heavy Plate Plant in Tangshan Wenfeng Machinery Equipment Co.,Ltd, visited NEU’s state key laboratory RALand had a review on the detailed design of different temperature rolling system project in the charge of RAL. Professor Wang Zhaodong, Director of RAL, and Professor Zhang Dianhua, Deputy Director of RAL attended the review meeting.
At the meeting, leaders and experts from Wenfeng Machinery Equipment Co., Ltd listened carefully to the detailed design of civil engineering, water system, machinery equipment, electrical automation of TMCP briefed by Northeastern University. The two sides had an in-depth discussion on related work, and optimized some working details.
The different temperature rolling system project in Tangshan Wenfeng Machinery Equipment Co.,Ltd Heavy Plate Plant is another “rolling-cooling” integration TMCP research project assumed by RAL of NEU following Nanjing Iron and Steel 3500mm project and Shagang Group 3500 instant cooling project. The project employs the EPC contracting mode, in which Northeastern University takes full responsibility for the process, equipment and automation system creation and upgrading, including level 1 and level 2 rolling mill automation system transformation, boarding gate instant cooling device establishment, front/rear remote boarding gate instant cooling device establishment, water supply system reformation, and so on.
Heavy plate and super heavy plate are the main products in Tangshan Wenfeng Machinery Equipment Co., Ltd. But there are some problems in the production process, such as poor quality at the core of heavy plate, low production efficiency, and so on. The implementation of this project will provide a new technology platform for the plant. The TMCP integration technology will solve the problems such as the difficulty in penetrating the heavy steel plate deformation into the core, the difficulty in pressing the micro crack within the plate, the coarse grain, and so on, so as to provide strong support for the research, development and production of a high-quality, low-cost super heavy plate.
