On April 15-16, Director Sun-YoungChoi, Deputy Director Hak-SooHan and Doctor Kwan-WookKim from Rolling Technology Development Department in Hyndai Steel, and Qingtian Zhao, Manager of Purchase Department in Hyndai Steel (China) Investment Co., Ltd, came to RAL for an exchange visit.
Sheng Qun, deputy director of the Department of Science and Technology in Northeastern University, introduced the history, status quo of Northeastern University and its important role in the development of technology in iron and steel industry. Professor Liu Zhenyu introduced the development and operation of the state key laboratory RAL and Collaborative Innovation Centre of Steel Technology. Associate Professor Hua Fu’an, Associate Professor Li Xu, Associate Professor Cai Zhaozhen and some teachers delivered reports on some technical issues put forward by Hyundai Steel from the perspective of a steel company’s concern. The two sides conducted in-depth exchange and discussion on specific issues in the steel industry.
During their visit, Academician Wang Guodong met with the guests from Hyundai Steel and briefed the important achievements in the new generation TMCP made by RAL and Collaborative Innovation Centre of Steel Technology in recent years. Both sides believed that Northeastern University and Hyundai Steel should carry out continuous exchanges and cooperation in the future, so as to jointly promote the progress and development of the technology in steel industry.
