On December 9, the ceremony was held in RAL411 lecture hall. Wang Nan, senior vice president and Secretary of the board of directors in Neusoft group, Sun Lei, vice president of Northeastern University, and Wang Guodong, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering attended the ceremony.
On behalf of Northeastern University, Sun Lei offered his congratulations to the establishment of two centers. He hoped that the two sides achieve fruitful results in the field of intelligent manufacturing of iron and steel with deep integration of the Internet, big data, artificial intelligence and the iron and steel industry soon.
Wang Nan said that Neusoft group has accumulated rich experience in the field of international steel intelligent manufacturing over years. To make great contributions to China’s new generation of intelligent manufacturing, She hoped that the two sides would take this opportunity to realize the interdisciplinary integration of information industry and iron and steel metallurgy industry, international experience, domestic manufacturing transformation and university-industrial research collaboration.
Wang Guodong introduced the current international background of intelligent development of iron and steel industry, as well as the superiority of foreign Industrial control software. He deeply elaborated the great significance of independent innovation, research and development of intelligent manufacturing system based on the dynamic digital twin of iron and steel industry, the research and development of information physical system and industrial Internet platform.
At the ceremony, Wang Nan, Yuan Guo, director of State Key Laboratory of rolling and automation together signed the agreement on co-construction of “Joint Innovation Center of RAL-NEUSOFT Steel Intelligent Manufacturing Software” on behalf of both parties. Meanwhile, Through-Process Steel CPS R&D Center and Joint Innovation Center of RAL-NEUSOFT Steel Intelligent Manufacturing Software were inaugurated by Sun Lei and Wang Guodong respectively.
It is reported that Northeastern University and Neusoft group will actively promote the deep integration of university-industrial research collaboration and the transformation of scientific and technological achievements. The purpose is to improve the ability of scientific and technological innovation, transformation and upgrading of the iron and steel industry. As is known to all, the two centers will contribute to the “double first-class” construction in Northeastern University, the high-quality development of Neusoft group and the powerful iron and steel industry in China.
