Dear Board Members,

It is our pleasure to inform you about the exciting new ISI Impact Factor of Steel Research International.

With an all-time high of 1.023 (2014 Journal Citation Report), the journal is ranked among the top journals in the field of metallurgy and metallurgical engineering. Our competitor ISIJ received a similar Impact Factor (1.07), the journal Ironmaking & Steelmaking has now an IF of 0.55.

The Impact Factor of SRIN has increased significantly over the last years - from 0.31 for 2009 to 1.02 for 2013 - this very positive development is a result of our combined efforts and we would like to thank you all for your support as authors, referees and advisors.

We are looking forward to our continued cooperation to further strengthen the position of Steel Research International.

Best wishes,

Sandra Kalveram and Jörn Ritterbusch
